Job Description
The Finance ERP Implementation Engineer will implement, configure, and support Finance modules within an ERP system tailored for educational and public sector institutions. The role ensures that finance processes—including budgeting, revenue management, fees, payroll integrations, and statutory reporting—are effectively implemented and aligned with institutional policies, regulatory requirements, and ERP best practices.
Key Responsibilities;

Lead and support end-to-end implementation of ERP Finance modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budgeting, Fees & Revenue, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting.

Translate institutional finance business processes into ERP system configurations, ensuring alignment with public sector regulations and education finance frameworks.

Configure workflows, approval hierarchies, automated controls, and reporting templates within the ERP.

Support data migration and validation from legacy systems (student fees systems, accounting software) into the ERP.

Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing), identifying gaps and supporting issue resolution before go-live.

Provide post-implementation support, continuous optimization, and finance process improvement.
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with finance staff, administration, ICT teams, and ERP vendors to ensure accurate translation of requirements.

Document finance workflows, functional specifications, and SOPs.

Conduct training sessions for end-users and prepare user manuals and reference guides.

Support change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of the ERP system.
Integration & Compliance

Assist in integrating ERP Finance modules with banks, payroll, procurement, and other institutional systems.

Ensure compliance with public sector financial regulations, audit requirements, and internal controls.

Support financial reporting for management, government agencies, and statutory audits.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Information Systems, or related field.

Minimum 3 years’ experience working with or implementing ERP systems, preferably in education or public sector institutions.

Experience with data migration, configuration, and financial reporting within ERP systems.

Knowledge of ERP integration with banks, HR/payroll systems, and procurement.
